Shanghai Eastimage-Sending the most sincere care to Turkey

Recently, the Middle East has been hit by serious geological disasters. A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck in southern Turkey at 09.17 Beijing time (4.17 local time on 6 February), according to the China Seismological Network; it was followed by another 7.8 magnitude earthquake at 18.24 the same day (13.24 local time) (7.5 according to the US Geological Survey). In addition to the two very strong earthquakes in a short period of time, there was a large amount of aftershock activity around the epicentre, with three earthquakes of magnitude 6.0-6.9 and 24 earthquakes of magnitude 5.0-5.9 (according to the USGS) as of 02:00 BST on 8 February  2023.

Turkey is the largest client of Shanghai Eastimage in the Middle East. At the beginning of February, Shanghai Eastimage was still in close contact with our Turkish clients and actively developing foreign business, but after 2.6, we lost contact with most of our Turkish and other clients in the Middle East. We immediately sent messages of sympathy and emergency measures to our customers in Turkey, hoping to bring them some warmth in the midst of the disaster.

The earthquake in Turkey reminded me of the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, where many Chinese compatriots lost their lives and relatives and lived in the shadow of the disaster for the rest of their lives.Of course, there are also people who protect their lives and the lives of their families through the right way to avoid earthquakes. The following are some of the measures we take to avoid earthquakes and we hope that you will all learn to take the right way to protect yourself in case of sudden earthquakes：

1.In theatres and stadiums, the audience can lie down by their seats, at the foot of the stage, and evacuate in an orderly manner after the earthquake, organized by the staff.

2.Students in class should take cover under their desks and evacuate the classroom under the direction of the teacher and take shelter in the nearest open area after the earthquake.

3.In shopping malls, restaurants, etc., choose sturdy counters, goods (such as low furniture, etc.) or places such as the edges of columns and internal corners to squat on the ground, avoiding glass doors, windows, windows and counters; avoid tall and unstable shelves and shelves with heavy and fragile items; avoid billboards, chandeliers and other towering or hanging objects

Precautions：

1.Protect your head with your hands, school bag or other objects when evacuating from an earthquake.

2.To evacuate after an earthquake, follow the instructions of the staff on the scene, do not panic and do not crowd and try to avoid crowds; if you are pushed into a crowd, prevent falls; cross your arms over your chest to protect yourself and use your shoulders and back to withstand external pressure; unbutton your collar and keep your breathing open.
